CAIRO – Egypt’s Mufti Shawqi Allam has greeted President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the 33th anniversary of raising the Egyptian flag over Taba, which is marked on March 19.
He extended similar greetings to Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki, military commanders, officers and soldiers, as well as to all Egyptians on the occasion.
In a statement on Friday, the mufti asserted the importance of this day, which he said is a symbol of the great heroic actions and sacrifices made by the Egyptian army for the sake of the nation’s freedom and independence.
He also expressed his deep appreciation for the Egyptian army’s efforts to preserve the homeland’s security and stability.
