The first international forum for technical and vocational education institutions “Edu Tech Egypt 2022″ will be held on March 23rd and 24th under the title of ” Draw your future.”
The forum will be chaired by the Minister of Education, Tarek shawky. A number of ministers will attend the forum.
The forum will witness the organization of the first ever fair in Egypt that contains a huge number of technical and vocational institutions, such as various applied technology schools, new technology universities and technology parks that are affiliated to the Education Development Fund.
The chairman of the organizing committee “Edu Gate” and the former President of Banha University, Ali Shams El-Din, said that the forum “Edu Tech” will witness discussion sessions among education experts.
The discussion sessions will be around the pillars of major transformation carried by the Ministries of Education, Higher Education, as well as communications and information technology.
The sessions will also discuss the future of technical and vocational education, as well as tendencies of future jobs with a view to serving Egypt Vision 2030.
Shams El-Din revealed an aspect of the forum’s pillars, pointing out that the pillars revolve around supporting the development of technical education through beneficiaries’ vision in labour market.
Deputy Minister for Technical Education, Mohamed Megahed, said that the Ministry of Education adopts a strategy to improve the technical education. The strategy began in 2018.
A new independent body was established to assure the quality and the independence in technical and vocational education, Megahed added.
Megahed also said that 70% of the curriculums of technical education were updated, as well as new methods and curriculums were introduced.
In the relevant context, the head of the technical education department, Omara said that the view of technical education as a low education level has to change, asserting that the world steps forward by technical education.
