By Hamed Mahmoud

Karim Mamoun, head of the commercial sector at the Nile Group for Real Estate Development, called for the necessity of creating a specialised academy to train employees and markters in the field of real estate marketing, which is responsible for graduating professional real estate marketers who are familiar with the importance of this sector affecting the Egyptian economy.

Mamoun suggested that the academy be under the regulation of the New Administrative Capital Company, that is witnessing the presence of new real estate development companies in the market, which is the most important area currently in the real estate sector, pointing out that the real estate market has recently witnessed the entry of non-specialists “amateurs” under the pretext of experience in real estate marketing, which affected the Form of competition and performance of real estate companies.

Mamoun said that the Administrative Capital project is one of the vital and important projects that have changed the shape of the real estate sector during the last 5 years, which is witnessing a diversity in the number of real estate projects, and therefore there was a request for the presence of the real estate marketer to participate in the marketing of these projects, The main cause behind the launch of new real estate marketing companies without experience, with the aim of competing and acquiring a selling share in these projects without experience and full knowledge with the projects, the quality of the real estate product and the marketing mechanism.

Mamoun explained that the real estate market is currently suffering from a lack of experience and competence for the real estate marketer, with the scarcity of professional real estate marketers, who find development companies difficulties in obtaining his services.

Mamoun praised the role of the Egyptian Association for Real Estate Marketing, which began to confront the negative phenomena that affect the real estate sector and train and educate marketers and brokers in the field of real estate marketing, calling for the need to set strict controls for this important sector in coordination with the Real Estate Development Chamber and under government supervision.
