Egypt’s agriculture minister inspects Garf Hussein fishery in Aswan

ASWAN, Egypt – Egypt’s Agriculture Minister Sayyed Quseir and Aswan Governor Ashraf Attia inspected on Friday Garf Hussein fishery in the Upper Egypt Governorate of Aswan.

The visit to the fishery, spanning an area of 55 feddans, came as part of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to pay special focus to developing fish wealth and upgrade Egyptian lakes and fisheries, with a view to meeting citizens’ needs, the minister said.

Quseir also said the government is planning to increase the capacity of Aswan three fisheries to develop the High Dam Lake and double its fish production, as part of the presidential Decent Life Initiative to enhance the lives of the fishermen.
