Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation and Egyptian Expatriates expressed deep sorrow on Sunday over the death of Egyptian citizen Azza Ramzy Mohamed Hassan, who was killed in an attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
The ministry extended its sincere condolences to the victim’s family and prayed for mercy for the deceased.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty has instructed the Egyptian Embassy and Consulate in Riyadh to co-ordinate the transfer of the victim’s body to Egypt as soon as possible. He also directed the ambassador and consul to visit the injured in hospital, contact their families and ensure that they receive all necessary assistance. A joint team from the embassy and consulate has visited the injured.
The Egyptian diplomatic missions in Riyadh are continuing to co-ordinate with the relevant Saudi authorities, which are providing Egyptian nationals injured in the incident with medical care and other necessary assistance.
The ministry reiterated its strong condemnation of the continued attacks on Saudi Arabia, denouncing what it described as blatant aggression and irresponsible acts that constitute a flagrant violation of international law and demonstrate disregard for the safety of civilians of all nationalities.
