EgyptAir has temporarily suspended flights from Cairo and Alexandria to Riyadh after operations at King Khalid International Airport were halted, the airline said in a statement.
The suspension will remain in place until operations resume, in coordination with Saudi civil aviation authorities, it said.
Passengers with confirmed bookings on affected flights may change their itinerary to another destination within Saudi Arabia served directly by EgyptAir without paying change fees or fare differences. They may also cancel their tickets and receive a refund without cancellation fees, the airline said.
EgyptAir said its operations centre was monitoring the situation around the clock and advised passengers to check their booking status through the airline’s website, call centre or sales offices.
