TARANTO — Head of Egypt’s delegation at the Mediterranean Games Sherif El-Qamati, praised the outstanding performance of the Egyptian women’s table tennis team after they won the gold medal at the Taranto 2026 Games.
El-Qamati said the players had made Egypt proud with their impressive display and 3-0 victory over hosts Italy.
He noted that the Egyptian delegation achieved impressive results, adding Egypt is locked in a strong battle for fourth place with France and Spain.
Egypt’s women’s table tennis team defeated Italy 3-0 in the final after advancing with a 3-0 victory over Serbia in the semi-finals, in a strong match in which the Egyptian players delivered an impressive performance.
