Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty discussed the latest developments in Sudan with US President Donald Trump’s Senior Adviser for Arab and African Affairs, Massad Boulos, during a phone call on Friday.
Abdelatty stressed the importance of continued international efforts to preserve Sudan’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, while safeguarding its national institutions.
He also underscored the need to ensure safe, unhindered and sustainable humanitarian access to all parts of Sudan to help alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people.
The minister stressed that such efforts should contribute to creating the necessary conditions for launching a comprehensive political process that is led and owned by the Sudanese people and reflects their aspirations for security, stability and peace.
