Barcelona secured the Joan Gamper Trophy on Wednesday evening with a 2-1 friendly victory over Al-Ahly at Camp Nou.
Barcelona established early momentum and opened the scoring in the 29th minute.
Alejandro Balde delivered a precise pass to Hamza Abdelkarim, who converted a first-time finish into the net. Raphinha doubled the lead shortly before halftime, successfully converting a penalty to put the host side up 2-0.
Al-Ahly responded early in the second half, cutting the deficit in the 51st minute when Ahmed Mostafa Zizo broke through one-on-one against the goalkeeper and calmly slotted the ball home.
The match concludes Al-Ahly’s pre-season training camp. The Egyptian side now turns its focus to the opening round of the Egyptian Premier League, where they will face Enppi this coming Sunday.
