Trabzonspor, featuring Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, opened their Turkish Super Lig campaign with a 1-1 draw away to Kasimpasa on Saturday.
Salah made his debut for his new club after starting on the bench. The Egypt international came on in the 58th minute, replacing teammate Metehan Oğuzoğlu, and impressed during the final half-hour, coming close to scoring, MENA reported.
Trabzonspor took the lead in the 43rd minute through Noah Saviolo, but Kasimpasa equalised nine minutes into the second half when Adrian Benedyczak converted a penalty.
The result gave both teams a point from the opening round of the season.
