The minister ordered intensifying health awareness campaigns for citizens about the disease and ways of preventing infection.

The meeting also touched on developing a platform to provide correct and precise information about the HIV and inform citizens about all services offered by the National AIDS Program.

Abdel Ghaffar asserted cooperation with various bodies concerned and civil society organizations and associations to expand the data base for reaching all infected citizens and offer them medical services.

The minister also discussed expanding the psychological support programs offered to patients living with the virus and the early detection methods in a way that would help reduce chances of transmission of the virus and reach zero infections.
