The foreign ministers of Egypt, Qatar, Jordan, UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia issued a joint statement on Thursday denouncing Israel’s ongoing violations in Gaza Strip. The ministers condemned in the strongest terms the targeting of healthcare facilities, civilian infrastructure and the continued killing of civilians, including women and children. They described these acts as grave breaches of both the international law and the international humanitarian law.
The statement warned that such violations undermine efforts to implement the second phase of the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, particularly after US President Donald Trump announced that Palestinian factions had accepted the roadmap. The ministers cautioned that Israel’s actions threaten to derail the political process, reignite escalation and deepen Gaza’s humanitarian crisis.
They affirmed the legal obligation to protect civilians, safeguard medical facilities and personnel, and ensure the immediate and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid. The ministers also linked the Gaza violations to settler attacks in the West Bank, illegal settlement expansion and unilateral measures in Jerusalem, describing them as a systematic policy aimed at eroding the two‑State solution and marginalising Palestinian rights.
The statement called upon the international community andespecially the UN Security Council, to assume theirresponsibilities, enforce Israel’s compliance with international law and Resolution 2803, and hold perpetrators accountable. The ministers reiterated their categorical rejection of any attempts to annex occupied Palestinian land, impose Israeli sovereignty or forcibly displace Palestinians. They affirmed that the only path to a just and comprehensive peace is a serious political process leading to the two‑State solution, with an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
