Turkish club Trabzonspor has officially begun talks to sign Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.
“Negotiations have begun regarding the transfer of professional footballer Mohamed Salah to our club,” Trabzonspor said in a brief statement.
The announcement comes after days of reports that the two sides were close to reaching an agreement. Salah, 34, left Liverpool at the end of last season after nine successful years filled with titles and major achievements.
The player is currently on the Greek island of Mykonos and is expected to travel to Istanbul in the coming hours.
