Global IT services and consulting group Systems Limited plans to expand its operations in Egypt and create more than 380 new jobs as it seeks to boost digital services exports from the country to regional markets.
The plans were discussed during a meeting on Friday between Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Raafat Hindi and Systems Limited President and CEO Asif Peer.
The company recently opened a new office in Smart Village, which currently employs around 250 engineers specialising in software development, IT services and outsourcing.
During the meeting, Hindi said Egypt was moving rapidly to strengthen its position as a global hub for digital services exports, stressing the government’s continued focus on investing in people and developing specialised technological skills.
He said these efforts had helped build a broad pool of talent capable of meeting the requirements of international markets.
Egypt’s competitive advantage in the outsourcing sector is no longer limited to the availability of skilled workers, Hindi said.
Systems Limited officials said the company’s Egyptian centre provides a wide range of technology services, including software development, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, data analytics, systems integration and outsourcing.
Peer outlined the group’s global strategy and future expansion plans, praising Egypt’s strong fundamentals in the outsourcing sector.
