Egypt’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Tuesday strongly denouncing threats targeting the security of Saudi Arabia, stressing its categorical rejection of any escalation that undermines the Kingdom’s stability or regional security.
The statement described such threats as irresponsible acts that could destabilize the region, endanger maritime navigation, international trade, and vital waterways, and constitute a flagrant violation of international law, the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
Egypt reaffirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and all Gulf Cooperation Council states, voicing support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
The Foreign Ministry also emphasized the importance of prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions and adhering to international law, in order to reduce tensions and preserve regional peace and stability.
