Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Saturday affirmed the importance of modernising education, particularly through programming, artificial intelligence, and financial literacy, to prepare a new generation for the demands of the global labour market.

The prime minister’s remarks came during a field tour of the Giza Governorate to inspect and inaugurate several service and development projects, which included a visit to the Boulaq El-Dakrour Educational Complex.

The prime minister inspected the Egyptian-Japanese School within the complex. He reviewed ongoing efforts to expand this specific educational model nationwide, in line with directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Cabinet Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed el-Homosani stated that the prime minister praised the model as a distinguished approach that actively supports the state’s broader strategy to modernise national education.

During the inspection, the prime minister was briefed on the details of the Boulaq El-Dakrour facility.

Spanning over 9,500 square metres, the school features 28 classrooms alongside language laboratories, technology and computer labs, and a library.

It also houses art education facilities, home economics rooms, in addition to a cafeteria and integrated student services.

The prime minister highlighted state plans to expand advanced technological disciplines, emphasising that incorporating AI and financial literacy into the curriculum will deepen students’ understanding of modern economic systems and boost their competitiveness in the future job market.

Minister of Education and Technical Education Mohamed Abdel-Latif noted that multiple facilities have been established within the complex to enhance the schooling system and reduce classroom density.

He added that the Japanese education model places a strong emphasis on character-building, teamwork, citizenship, and cultivating critical thinking through modern technological tools.

Governor of Giza Adel El-Naggar stated that the Boulaq El-Dakrour Educational Complex now houses 10 newly established schools, providing approximately 430 classrooms.

This diverse mix of primary, language, secondary, industrial, and Egyptian-Japanese schools significantly expands educational capacity and improves public service delivery across the governorate.
