In a speech he delivered on behalf of President Sisi, Prime Minister Madbouli affirmed that the Egyptian state is pursuing a clear strategic vision aimed at preparing a generation capable of competing effectively in the international labour market.
He stressed that genuine investment begins with investing in people through developing their skills and equipping them with internationally recognised competencies and qualifications, Cabinet Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed el-Homosani said in a statement.
Madbouli stated that the event represented more than the awarding of 2,000 international licences in the fields of technology, languages, and freelance work.
It also conveyed a strong message reflecting the state’s commitment to preparing qualified young professionals with modern capabilities that align with the accelerating transformations taking place in the global labour market, both domestically and internationally, while also enabling them to benefit from remote employment opportunities.
The prime minister further noted that the government continues to implement President Sisi’s directives concerning human development through comprehensive reform of the education and training system.
This includes prioritising digital skills, language education, and entrepreneurship culture in a manner that enhances the capabilities of Egyptian youth, improves living standards for families, and contributes to raising income levels.
He added that training and qualification programmes are being implemented in cooperation with a number of international institutions and organisations, in addition to the Ministries of Education and Higher Education, with the aim of delivering advanced educational and vocational programmes tailored to the evolving requirements of the global labour market.
He reaffirmed the state’s commitment to building a knowledge-based economy and empowering young people as a key pillar for achieving comprehensive and sustainable development.
The ceremony featured the screening of a documentary film highlighting the establishment and achievements of the Education Development Fund and its role in supporting Egypt’s education and training system.
The film reviewed modern educational programmes, online learning courses, and secure digital learning systems designed to equip students with advanced technological and digital skills in line with international standards.
The documentary also underscored the importance of obtaining internationally accredited certifications and licences as essential tools for strengthening the competitiveness of Egyptian youth within the global labour market, particularly in technology and digital economy sectors, while opening the door to advanced professional opportunities.
According to the Education Development Fund, the “One Million International Licences” initiative seeks to provide young people with advanced training programmes and internationally accredited certifications across a range of digital and technological disciplines.
