The French government has decided to pay Great Britain £2 million sterling before 31 December, with a further £2 million scheduled for the 1926-1927 financial year. These sums are to be credited against final war debt annuities.
M. Raoul Péret, the French Finance Minister, is expected to visit London in early May to formalise the agreement. The move is seen as a significant step towards settling outstanding wartime financial obligations between the two nations.
