President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on Wednesday with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher and Minister of State for Military Production Salah Soliman.

According to the Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy , the meeting reviewed the progress of projects implemented by military production companies, as well as plans to upgrade defence industries and enhance their manufacturing, technological, and technical capabilities to meet the armed forces’ needs.

President Sisi underscored the pivotal role of military production companies in developing advanced defense products, while also reviewing efforts to attract more local and foreign investment and expand partnerships with the private sector.

He stressed the importance of increasing local manufacturing and forging strategic partnerships with leading global companies to acquire and localise advanced technologies.

The discussions also covered plans to modernise operational systems through upgrading digital infrastructure, utilising artificial intelligence applications, and expanding training programmes in cooperation with Egyptian universities, research centers and specialized academies.

President Sisi emphasized the need to invest in human capital within the military production sector and adhere to quality and industrial safety standards, while continuously improving performance, adopting the latest technologies, and enhancing the efficiency of work systems. The President also stressed the importance of continuing efforts to develop the companies and factories affiliated with the Ministry of Military Production, given their vital role in supporting the national economy.
