Egypt Post has signed a co-oepration protocol on Tuesday with the Egypt Internal Trade Development Authority (ITDA) to offer the later’s services available through post offices across the country.
Th move aims to enable citizens to access these services close to their homes and saving them time and effort whilst ensuring transactions are completed to the highest standards of quality and security, an official press release stated.
Egypt Post is the governmental agency responsible for postal service in Egypt. Established on 29 October 1865, it is one of the oldest governmental institutions in the country.
Under the protocol, citizens and business owners can obtain commercial register extracts, enquire about business details, and look up the unified commercial register number, as well as pay commercial registration renewal fees through post offices, it explained.
The protocol also includes the printing of secure documents to specific specifications and standards by the Egyptian postal service, in line with the highest security and quality standards and using the latest printing technologies, and the supply of these documents to the Commercial Registry offices of the Authority in the governorates.
The protocol also covers the widespread use of secure versions of commercial registry extracts through secure documents equipped with advanced security features, ensuring the highest levels of document protection, preventing any attempts at tampering or forgery, and enhancing public confidence in commercial registry documents issued by the Authority.
This collaboration forms part of Egypt Post’s efforts to expand the provision of integrated government services through its network of post offices, and represents an important step towards supporting the business environment and improving the citizen experience when dealing with government services.
