Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk conducted a field visit on Sunday to the first Premium Tax Service Centre in New Cairo, to review preparations ahead of its official opening.
Kouchouk stressed the ministry’s commitment to earning the trust of the business community through tangible facilitation measures and expanding the tax base.
“Together, we are taking impactful steps to transform the tax system into a customer-service-oriented culture,” the minister of finance said, highlighting the introduction of mobile application services, modern technology, and the use of comprehensive tax databases to simplify processes for compliant taxpayers.
The minister also announced the implementation of individual taxpayer profiles, which will consolidate information and documents from electronic invoice and receipt databases.
Kouchouk further stressed the importance of enhancing direct communication channels with taxpayers through chatbots, call centres, and customer service platforms to ensure swift responses and immediate support.
Rasha Abdel Aal, Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority, noted that for the first time, the authority will delegate certain tax services to E-Tax, facilitating smoother service for taxpayers. She added that premium service centres will be staffed with expert personnel to quickly resolve technical issues and ensure efficient operations.
