Asharq Bloomberg said in a report released on Tuesday that tourism in Egypt remains resilient despite the ongoing war in the Middle East. It added that crisis has reshaped travel demand across the region and created new opportunities for Egypt.
The report noted that Egypt has been less affected than some competing destinations. It has also captured part of the diverted demand.
One month into the conflict, tourist inflows to Egypt continue. Numbers remain below targets but are supported by redirected bookings from other regional destinations.
Beach tourism is the main beneficiary. Red Sea destinations, including Marsa Alam, Hurghada, and Sharm El-Sheikh, have seen increased demand. Flights from Eastern Europe and Russia have been redirected to these cities.

Major tour operators adjusted their programmes instead of canceling bookings. This helped avoid losses and maintain travel flows.
The North Coast is also expected to see a strong season. Early summer bookings are rising. Part of Gulf demand is shifting to Egypt from other regional destinations.
