Pakistan has presented Iran with a proposal from the United States and either Pakistan or Turkey could be venues for discussions to reduce tensions in the Persian Gulf, a senior Iranian official told Reuters on Wednesday.
The comments, from an official who spoke on condition of anonymity, were among the few signs that Tehran was willing to consider diplomatic overtures, despite having publicly denied it would negotiate with President Donald Trump’s administration.
