Minister of State for Military Production, Salah Soliman Gombolat, highlighted opportunities to deepen industrial co-operation and expand technical education partnerships during a meeting on Wednesday with British Ambassador to Egypt Mark Bryson-Richardson.

Gombolat welcomed the British ambassador and his accompanying delegation, underscoring the depth of longstanding relations between Egypt and United Kingdom. He reviewed the manufacturing, technological and technical capabilities of military subsidiaries, pointing to their potential to support joint industrial ventures.

Discussions during the meeting focused on establishing strategic partnerships between military production companies and British firms across various manufacturing sectors.

Co-operation in education featured prominently during the talks, particularly in light of the ongoing partnership between the ministry’s training sector and Pearson, a leading British multinational education and publishing company headquartered in London.

The two sides discussed increasing student intake at military production-affiliated institutions accredited by Pearson, as well as forging broader partnerships with British entities to transfer educational expertise.

Such co-operation, he added, would support the development of institutions including the Egyptian Academy for Engineering and Advanced Technology and the Middle Technical College under the ministry, contributing to the advancement of higher and technical education in Egypt.

For his part, Bryson-Richardson outlined several areas for potential collaboration with military production subsidiaries, including the implementation of development projects that benefit Egyptian citizens. He reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening its longstanding ties with Egypt through expanded bilateral partnerships across multiple sectors, supporting sustainable development and shared prosperity.
