The Arab Republic of Egypt strongly condemns the recent attacks against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and other brotherly Gulf states, particularly those targeting civilian infrastructure.

In a statement appeared on the Foreign Ministry Facebook page, Egypt categorically denounces the ballistic missile strikes on Riyadh and affirms its unwavering solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including its leadership, government, and people, against these reprehensible and unjustified acts that threaten not only the Kingdom’s security and stability but also the security and stability of Egypt and the wider Arab world.

Egypt further expresses its firm condemnation of attacks on the United Arab Emirates and reiterates its full support for the UAE in the face of these continued threats, the statement read.

It added that the state emphasises its strong objection to any attacks on oil and gas facilities in the Gulf, including liquefied natural gas installations in Ras Laffan, Qatar, and affirms its complete backing of the State of Qatar against such assaults.

The targeting of civilian and energy infrastructure, including the South Pars gas field in Iran—an extension of Qatar’s North Field—constitutes a blatant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and the Charter of the United Nations.

In this respect, Egypt expresses deep concern over the deliberate targeting of energy facilities, recognising the serious implications for global energy security, the international economy, and the safety and well-being of populations.

These attacks also pose grave environmental risks and endanger both civilian populations and critical infrastructure.

Accordingly, Egypt reiterates its call for restraint, dialogue, and diplomatic engagement, urging intensified efforts to de-escalate the current military tensions.

It also affirms that resolving the conflict through reasoned dialogue is essential to safeguarding security and stability at both regional and international levels, the statement concluded.
