Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdel-Aati held a phone call on Wednesday with his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, under directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to follow up on developments in Kuwait amid current regional tensions.
Minister Abdel-Aati was briefed by his Kuwaiti counterpart on the firm security measures undertaken by state institutions to deter what he described as “malicious Iranian attacks” and to confront any attempts to undermine Kuwait’s internal security, stability, or national resources.
Abdel-Aati reiterated Egypt’s unequivocal condemnation of these attacks, stressing that they constitute a flagrant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and a clear breach of international law and the principles of good neighbourliness.
He affirmed Egypt’s full solidarity with Kuwait—its leadership, government and people—underscoring Cairo’s unwavering support in the face of any threats to the country’s sovereignty or the safety of its citizens.
Abdel-Aati reiterated Cairo’s longstanding position that Kuwait’s security and stability are integral to Egypt’s national security, reflecting the deep-rooted historical ties and shared destiny between both countries.
