CAIRO – An Egyptian aid ship has left Damietta port, heading to Lebanon as per directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The Egyptian vessel is carrying 487.5 tons of aid, including 122 tons of foodstuffs, 265.5 tons of medications and medical supplies and 100 tons of relief items, Cabinet Spokesman Nader Saad said.
The Cabinet has coordinated with the ministries and State bodies concerned as well as with the Lebanese government to secure needs of the Lebanese people, he added.
