RABAT, Morocco — Egyptian giants Pyramids FC snatched a valuable 1-1 draw against FAR Rabat in the first-leg of their CAF Champions League quarter-final on Friday night at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.
FAR Rabat struck early, with left winger Ahmed Hammoudan opening the scoring in the 8th minute.

Pyramids FC responded in the second-half, as winger Mahmoud Zalaka levelled the score in the 52nd minute, keeping the tie alive ahead of the decisive second-leg in Cairo.
The return-leg is set for March 21 at the Air Defense Stadium, where the winner will advance to face the victor of Moroccan champions RS Berkane vs Al-Hilal of Sudan in the semi-finals.

The first-leg in Rabat was played behind closed doors, following a CAF disciplinary sanction on FAR Rabat due to crowd trouble in a previous group-stage match against Al-Ahly.
