Egypt has strongly condemned the recent attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank, leaving several people killed or injured.
In a statement on Sunday, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry described the incidents as a dangerous escalation of violence targeting civilians, and a clear violation of international law.
The ministry reaffirmed Egypt’s position that Israeli settlement activities in occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem, are illegal.
Cairo stressed that such actions represent a blatant breach of international law and undermine prospects for peace.
Egypt further denounced the continued closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli authorities.
Preventing worshippers from entering the holy site for several consecutive days is a direct violation of the legal and historical status of Jerusalem, the ministry said.
It also warned that these policies and escalating measures pose serious risks to security and stability across the region.
Egypt renewed its call for an end to such practices and urged respect for international law and the rights of Palestinians.
