EgyptAir has participated in the annual Berlin International Travel & Tourism Trade Fair (ITB) 2026, which deemed one of the largest and important international fairs in the travel and tourism industry, held in Berlin with the wide participation from leading companies and organisations in the sector from around the world.

The scale of international participation at the fair reflects its importance on the global tourism map, with over 100,000 visitors and representatives from more than 190 countries and regions, confirming ITB Berlin’s position as a global platform for decision-making in the travel and tourism sector.

This year’s ITB Berlin also celebrated its 60th anniversary under the theme “60 Years in Travel,” marking it as one of the largest and most significant tourism fairs in the world.

EgyptAir’s participation is part of its strategy to maintain an active presence at major international events and support the country’s efforts to promote inbound tourism to Egypt.

The airline aims to strengthen and increase tourist air traffic from German and European markets to Egyptian destinations, highlighting Egypt’s prominent status as a key destination for travellers from Germany and Europe.

The EgyptAir pavilion was visited by Sherif Fathy,  Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, and Dr. Mohamed El-Badry, Egypt’s Ambassador to Berlin, who praised the pavilion’s distinctive design and the airline’s role in supporting tourism and travel.

At the pavilion, EgyptAir highlighted its latest services and promotional offers.

During the fair, the EgyptAir delegation, including Tawfik Shalaby, EgyptAir Regional Manager in Germany; Ahmed Emam, General Manager of Sales and Marketing in Germany; Islam Wahid, EgyptAir Berlin Office Manager; and a team from the airline’s Marketing Department, held a series of productive meetings with leading travel agencies and tour operators in Germany and Europe.

The meetings included discussions with prominent tour operators, including the Swedish online travel agency ETRAVELI, which sells millions of tickets annually, as well as the renewal of agreements under the 2027 programme with Studiosus Reisen and Globalis Erlebnisreisen, and Chamaleon Reisen, specialists in organised cultural tours, along with Biblische Reisen, a company specialising in religious tourism, and Beluga Reisen.

The discussions focused on ways to enhance collaboration and boost sales in the coming period.

Currently, EgyptAir operates 26 weekly flights to Germany, with a daily flight to Berlin, Frankfurt, and Munich, and five weekly flights to Düsseldorf, reflecting the airline’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the German market, one of Egypt’s most important tourism markets.
