Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli noted on Thursday that the government underscores the pivotal role of military production companies in supporting and advancing the localisation of multiple industries across various sectors.

These efforts enhance the availability of diverse products to meet the needs of both the production and consumer sectors.

The prime minister made these remarks during a meeting at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital with Minister of State for Military Production, Salah Gomblatt, where they reviewed key ministry files and discussed the vision for the coming period.

During the meeting, Gomblatt highlighted the ministry’s strategy to attract more local and foreign investments while deepening the localisation of domestic industries through artificial intelligence and modern technologies.

He also emphasised maximising Egypt’s resources and production capacities to transform military production into a sophisticated industrial institution contributing to sustainable development across industrial, service, and national projects, leveraging the ministry’s technological, manufacturing, and human capabilities.

The minister also outlined plans to expand training programmes to qualify, enhance, and refine the skills of technical and administrative personnel across the ministry’s agencies and sectors, in co-operation with Egyptian universities, research centers, and specialised academies.

He added that efforts will continue to rehabilitate and operate production lines for standard products while developing new products using advanced technologies and AI.

Additionally, Dr Gomblatt discussed measures to improve financial management efficiency across affiliated companies and agencies, supporting Egypt’s economic and developmental goals and aligning with the state’s priorities in digital transformation and institutional governance.
