CAIRO – Italian Minister of Education Giuseppe Valditara on Tuesday said that Italy is working on enhancing educational systems that are compatible with the requirements of the labor market.
He added that signing protocols to establish applied technology schools between The Italian Education Ministry, local Egyptian entities, and a number of Italian academies represents a key step toward strengthening cooperation between Egypt and Italy in the field of technical education.
Valditara was addressing a ceremony held to mark sealing a number of cooperation protocols between the Egyptian and Italian sides, in the presence of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli.
The cooperation builds on the 2024 memorandum of understanding and the 2025 letter of intent signed between the two sides, the Italian minster said.
He extended appreciation to the Egyptian government, saying: “Salute to the Egyptian officials, foremost among them Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, and I thank Minister of Education Mohamed Abdel Latif for his long-term efforts that paved the way for this important cooperation.”
Egypt and Italy are sharing a common vision regarding the pivotal role of investment in developing technical education, Valditara said, emphasizing that the objective is to build educational systems capable of equipping young people with skills that meet labor-market needs.
