CAIRO – Egyptian Ambassador to Japan Mohamed Abu Bakr reviewed during a meeting with Governor of the Japan Bank for International Co-operation (JBIC) Maeda Tadashi the great economic leap in Egypt.
On its Facebook page, the Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday that the talks tackled the economic development in Egypt and growing indices in various sectors.
The ambassador referred to the international financial institutions which praised the economic development in Egypt, noting that Egypt is one of the best investment destinations.
For his part, the JBIC chief underlined the importance of Egypt for Japan in view of its leverage at the regional and international levels.
He said Egypt’s hosting of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) reflects the international community’s confidence that Egypt can host such grand international events.
The talks also tackled Egypt’s recent joining of JP Morgan index to be one of two states only in the Middle East and Africa.
He added that the bank encourages injecting more investments into Egypt.
