Egypt exported 4,655 food shipments totaling 194,000 tonnes during the week of 15–12 November, according to the 43rd weekly report for 2025 issued by the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA).
The shipments were supplied by 1,462 Egyptian companies and included around 875 different food items ranging from grain products to vegetables, fruits and processed foods.
Sweet potatoes led the list of exported food products with 10,000 tonnes, followed by onion at 7,000 tons and beans at 5,000 tonnes.
Citrus led fruit exports with 11,000 tonnes to be followed by pomegranate and strawberry (6,000 tons each).
These exports were shipped to more than 205 countries, with Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Algeria and Sudan among the top importers.
