The 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow 2025 will commence this Monday and run until Friday, November 21, at Dubai World Central.
This year’s airshow highlights the latest advancements in sustainability, AI-driven innovation, advanced mobility, space exploration, and next-generation talent development. It is the largest edition of the global event, featuring over 1,500 leading aerospace and defence companies from more than 47 countries, with overall participation from 150 nations.
The event will showcase over 200 of the latest aircraft, host more than 490 military and civil delegations from 98 countries, 440 new exhibitors, and 18 national pavilions. The airshow is expected to attract around 148,000 visitors.
The Supreme Organising Committee held a final review of preparations, attended by committee members and representatives of relevant government and private entities.
The meeting covered all organisational, technical, operational, and logistical arrangements, and assessed the readiness of all participating parties.
Coordination among different teams and committees was confirmed, including the provision of infrastructure and supporting services across exhibition areas, air and ground display zones, and visitor reception facilities, to ensure the event meets the highest global standards.
The meeting also reviewed accompanying programmes, including specialised sessions and technical workshops, as well as arrangements for global companies and institutions participating in commercial and defence aviation, space, and advanced technology sectors.
The 19th Dubai Airshow is organised under the theme “The Future Starts Here”, reflecting ongoing efforts to enhance Dubai’s position as a global aviation hub and to support the development of future technologies and solutions in this vital sector. vestment in the civil aviation sector, considering it one of the main drivers of economic development and a key factor in attracting foreign investments.
He praised the deep-rooted relations between Egypt and Greece, especially in the fields of infrastructure and renewable energy, emphasising the importance of making use of international expertise in the aviation sector.
This came during the minister’s meeting with Dimitrios Copelouzos, founder and chairman of the Copelouzos Group, to discuss the latest developments regarding the public offerings of Egyptian airports, as well as future investment opportunities in this field.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the progress achieved in this regard. This comes in light of the Egyptian government’s preparations to offer 11 airports to the private sector for operation and management, in co-operation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
This comes in light of the state’s strategy to enhance private sector participation in operating and managing vital facilities, and to develop the air transport system in accordance with the latest international standards.
For his part, Dimitrios Copelouzos expressed his sincere pleasure at meeting Minister El-Hefny, reaffirming his aspiration to deepen avenues of co-operation between both sides and to explore available investment opportunities in the civil aviation sector.
Copelouzos commended the remarkable progress witnessed by Egypt’s civil aviation sector and affirmed the Group’s desire to expand its investments in the operation and management of Egyptian airports.
Copelouzos pointed out that the Egyptian market is a promising destination for international investors, thanks to the major developmental transformation it has witnessed and the clear orientation towards a green economy.
