CAIRO — All eyes across Egypt and the Arab world will turn to Abu Dhabi this Sunday, November 9, 2025, as the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium hosts the much-anticipated Egyptian Super Cup final between Al-Ahly and Zamalek, kicking off at 7:30pm Cairo Local Time. Earlier in the day, Pyramids FC will face Ceramica Cleopatra in the third-place playoff.

The Red Devils secured their place in the final with a gritty 2–1 win over Ceramica Cleopatra in the opening semi-final, while Zamalek edged past Pyramids FC 5–4 on penalties after a tense goalless draw.
Reigning champions Al-Ahly, winners of the 2024 edition after a dramatic penalty shootout against Zamalek, is eyeing a record-extending 16th Egyptian Super Cup title, while their archrivals, the White Knights, hope to lift the trophy for the fifth time in their history.

The champions will receive $300,000, while the runners-up collect $200,000. All four participating clubs—Al-Ahly, Zamalek, Pyramids, and Ceramica Cleopatra—will each earn $50,000 for their participation.
Zamalek edges Pyramids
Zamalek booked their place in the final with a tense 5–4 penalty shootout win over Pyramids FC at Al-Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi, after 90 minutes of tactical stalemate ended goalless.
The match was marked by disciplined defending and cautious play from both sides, with neither team willing to take early risks.

Zamalek’s Tunisian striker Seifeddine Jaziri squandered a golden opportunity after a fine pass from playmaker Abdallah El-Said, while Pyramids’ Brazilian midfielder Everton da Silva fired wide from close range following Moroccan right-back Mohamed Chibi cross.
Zamalek opened the match with high pressing in an attempt to disrupt Pyramids’ buildup from the back, while the Blue-Sky side relied on goalkeeper Ahmed El-Shenawy to initiate their attacks.

The match saw little in the way of clear chances, with most of the action concentrated in midfield.
Despite Pyramids’ late pressure, Zamalek held firm to take the match to penalties—where composure and precision booked their ticket to the final.
Al-Ahly 2–1 Ceramica
Reigning champions Al-Ahly booked their place in the Egyptian Super Cup final after edging past Ceramica Cleopatra 2-1 in an entertaining semifinal clash at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al-Ain, UAE.

Defending champions Al-Ahly marched into the final with a lively 2–1 victory over Ceramica Cleopatra in an exciting semi-final at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al-Ain, UAE.
Al-Ahly began on the front foot, applying constant pressure through Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet”, Ahmed Sayed “Zizo”, and Moroccan winger Achraf Bencharki, but Ceramica goalkeeper Mohamed Bassam stood firm with several key saves.

Their persistence finally paid off in the 19th minute when Trezeguet rose to meet a pinpoint cross from Zizo, steering a superb header past Bassam to give Al-Ahly a deserved lead.
Ceramica responded with intent and found the equalizer just before halftime. Marwan Osman latched onto a clever through ball and chipped over Al-Ahly’s goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy in the 41st minute to level the score at 1-1.

The second-half started with Ceramica looking more composed, but it was Al-Ahly who struck again against the run of play. In the 52nd minute, Ahly’s Slovenian striker Nejc Gradisar showed great awareness to guide a deft touch into the net after an assist from Bencharki, restoring Al-Ahly’s advantage.
The game slowed in tempo as both sides battled for midfield control. Gradisar was forced off injured in the 69th minute, replaced by winger Taher Mohamed Taher. Ceramica came close to equalising in the 74th minute, but El-Shenawy denied South African forward Fakhri Lakay with a superb save.

In the closing stages, Al-Ahly made further changes, bringing on Tunisian midfielder Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan and defender Ahmed Ramadan ‘Beckham’ for Zizo and Bencharki respectively, while Trezeguet was substituted late due to injury. Despite Ceramica’s late pressure, Al-Ahly held firm to secure a 2-1 victory and a place in the final.
