Egypt’s Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, General Abdel Mageed Saqr, met on Friday with General Asim Munir, Chief of Pakistan’s Army Staff, and the accompanying delegation currently visiting Egypt.

The meeting tackled a number of topics of mutual interest in light of strengthening military relations between the Egyptian and Pakistani armed forces, as well as the alignment of views regarding various frameworks that support the foundations of international peace and security.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces expressed his pride in the strong ties between the armed forces of both countries, stressing the importance of supporting efforts to achieve security and stability amid the rapid developments on both the international and regional arenas.

For his part, the top military commander of Pakistan affirmed his country’s keenness to enhance aspects of military cooperation between the Egyptian and Pakistani armed forces in the coming period, praising Egypt’s pivotal role in establishing the foundations of just peace in the Middle East.

In a related context, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, met with the Pakistani military commander, where an official reception ceremony was held at the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defense, and the national anthems of both countries were played. The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise in various military fields between the Egyptian and Pakistani armed forces.

The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces emphasized the importance of coordinating efforts to support military cooperation and exchange experiences between the two sides.

For his part, the Pakistani Military official expressed his keenness to strengthen prospects for military cooperation with Egypt and his appreciation for the distinguished military relations between the armed forces of both countries.

The meeting was attended by a number of commanders from the Egyptian and Pakistani armed forces
