CASABLANCA — Egypt’s Al Ahly men’s handball team clinched the African Handball Champions League title for the third consecutive year and the eighth time in the club’s history after a commanding 31-20 victory over Morocco’s Montada Derb Sultan in the final held in Morocco.
Al Ahly took control early in the match, finishing the first half with a 17-8 lead. The team maintained its dominance in the second half, applying continuous offensive pressure and comfortably closing out the game to secure another continental title.
This latest triumph adds to Al Ahly’s previous titles won in 1985, 1993, 1994, 2012, 2016, 2023, and 2024, solidifying the club’s position as one of the most successful in African handball history.
