Egypt’s Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk asserted Egypt’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation with Greece, particularly in the exchange of expertise and insights on fiscal policies and the development of tax and customs systems, as well as in fostering joint investments between the two countries.

During his meeting with Greek National Economy and Finance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB)Annual Meetings in Washington Saturday, Kouchouk expressed Egypt’s aspiration to expand economic, trade and investment exchanges with Greece, in a manner that reflects the deep historical ties and strategic relationship between the two nations.

He added that Egypt is looking forward to greater contributions from Greek companies in key strategic sectors of the Egyptian economy, by leveraging the promising investment opportunities currently available.

He emphasized that the private sector can play a significant role in deepening the Egyptian-Greek economic partnership.
