CAIRO — Al-Masry and Pyramids FC claimed their first wins of the 2025-26 Egyptian Premier League season in the second round, defeating Talae El-Geish and Ismaily respectively, while ZED FC and Ceramica Cleopatra played out a goalless draw.
Al-Masry 3-0 El-Geish
Al-Masry of Port Said maintained their perfect start to the Egyptian Premier League season with a commanding 3–0 win over Talae El-Geish in the second round at the New Suez Stadium.
Salah Mohsen opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a fine header from an Algerian centre-forward Abderrahim Deghmoum cross.
Algerian striker Mounder Temine doubled the lead in the 52nd minute, capitalising on defensive confusion to round the goalkeeper and score.
Midfielder Mohamed Makhlouf sealed the victory in the 87th minute with a powerful strike from outside the box.
The result takes Al-Masry to six points and keeps them top of the table after an opening 3–1 win over Al-Ittihad of Alexandria.
El-Geish stays on one point in 17th place, following up their first-round 1–1 draw with Smouha with this defeat.
Pyramids 1–0 Ismaily
Pyramids FC secured their first win of the Egyptian Premier League season with a 1–0 victory over Ismaily at the Air Defense Stadium in the second round of fixtures.
Striker Marwan Hamdi netted the decisive goal in the 83rd minute, rising to meet a pinpoint cross from right winger Mostafa Fathi and steering a header past goalkeeper Abdullah Gamal into the left corner.
The closing stages were filled with drama, as referee Amin Omar sent off Pyramids’ Croatian coach Krunoslav Jurcic in the 84th minute before showing a second yellow to Burkinabe midfielder Ibrahim Blati Toure a minute later. Ismaily’s Mohamed Ehab was also dismissed in stoppage time.
The victory lifts Pyramids to four points and fourth place after their opening-round draw with Wadi Degla, while Ismaily remains on one point in 15th, following their first-round draw with Petrojet.
Ceramica 0–0 ZED FC
ZED FC and Ceramica Cleopatra battled to a goalless draw in the second week of the League at Cairo International Stadium, with both sides unable to find a breakthrough in a match that stretched to the 98th minute.
The encounter was a tight, physical affair, with ZED looking to build on their bright start to the season and Ceramica aiming to bounce back from an opening defeat.
Chances were few and far between, as both defences stood firm and goalkeepers were called into action on several occasions to keep the scoreline level.
The draw lifts ZED to four points and into second place in the standings, adding to their opening 2–0 victory over Arab Contractors.
For Ceramica, the point was their first of the season, though they remain 16th after beginning their campaign with a 2–0 loss to Zamalek.
