Trucks carrying food, medicine, and medical supplies entered Gaza on Thursday through the Karm Abu Salem crossing, according to a well-informed source at Rafah Crossing.
The 15th aid convoy passed from Rafah via a side gate to the crossing for inspection before entering the Gaza Strip.
The source said the trucks lined up early this morning in the yard of Rafah land port in preparation to move towards the Gaza Strip, as part of the “Zad Al-Ezzah… From Egypt to Gaza” initiative.
This falls within the framework of Egypt’s continuous efforts to support the Palestinians in light of the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the enclave.
Israel has kept Gaza’s crossings largely closed since March 2 after the first ceasefire phase ended without an extension, resuming heavy bombardment and ground incursions. Aid deliveries in May were minimal and failed to meet basic needs.
On July 27, Israel announced a 10-hour daily pause in parts of Gaza to allow aid entry. Mediation by Egypt, Qatar, and the US continues to seek a lasting ceasefire and prisoner exchange.
