CAIRO – Egypt’s exports of ready-made garments in 2021 increased by 41% to 2.49 billion dollars for the first time, compared with 1.457 billion dollars in 2020.
Chairperson of the Ready-Made Garments Export Council Marie Louis announced in a statement on Saturday that the council adopted a clear policy aimed at setting the stage for more exports.
She added that efforts are now focusing on expanding the council’s services including promotion and marketing services.
Louis said the council participated in four international and local exhibitions and provided 33 export opportunities.
A number of initiatives were launched for developing e-marketing tools by updating or establishing websites in this regard, she pointed out.
As well, the council took part in organizing 32 workshops and training courses to promote export capabilities and raise production rates, she added.
