Egypt voiced deep concern over the current developments between India and Pakistan following the exchange of airstrikes that left a number of persons dead and injured.
In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, Egypt stressed the importance of making all efforts to restore calm and defuse the current crisis between the two countries to avoid further escalation.
Egypt also called upon India and Pakistan to exercise the utmost restraint and engage in dialogue through diplomatic channels, read the statement.
It also underlined the importance of resorting to peaceful solutions that fulfill the aspirations and hopes of the two countries’ peoples in restoring calm and stability.
