Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aaty and Palestinian Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister Mohamed Moustafa exchanged views and assessment on the dangerous situation in Gaza and the West Bank.
The phone talks between Abdel Aaty and Moustafa cameamid the ongoing Israel’s aggression against the Palestinian people, its violations of international law and international humanitarian law, and the crimes faced by the Palestinian people.
The Egyptian chief diplomat reviewed Egypt’s efforts, in co-operation with Qatar, aiming to conclude a truce and stabilise the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
For his part, the Palestinian premier voiced deep appreciation of the Egyptian efforts in this regard.
He expressed hope that these efforts would provide thefavourableconditions for holding the Cairo international conference for the reconstruction of Gaza as part of efforts to mobilise funding and support for the Arab-Islamic plan in this regard.
Later in the day, Abdel-Aaty also had a phone conversation with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
The two ministers followed up the tireless and sincere efforts exerted by Cairo and Doha to stabilise the Gaza ceasefire, and secure the full implementation of its three phases, as well as carrying on with mediation efforts with the US.
They also touched on the means to secure success for the Gaza reconstruction conference.
The two sides exchanged views on the necessity of maintaining joint coordination to avoid more escalation, and tension in the region, as well as joint action to secure stability in the region through establishing a Palestinian state as a final solution for the conflict.
