ANKARA – Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Wednesday strongly rejected US President Donald Trump’s proposed plan to displace the Palestinians from Gaza, calling it “unacceptable.”
Fidan emphasised that even discussing such a proposal was wrong, asserting, “We are against all initiatives that seek to exclude the people of Gaza from the equation.”
Trump had announced during a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the US would take over war-ravaged Gaza after resettling Palestinians elsewhere.
