The Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation announced that EgyptAir transported 10.289 million passengers in 2024, marking an increase from 9.826 million passengers in 2023.
The airline offered a total of 33.6 million seats in 2024, a 15% rise compared to 29.2 million seats in 2023. Additionally, operational hours reached 246,979 in 2024, up by 9% from 227,167 hours in 2023, while flight hours grew by 10%, reaching 218,798 compared to 199,183 in the previous year.
In 2024, EgyptAir introduced several new destinations, including Taif and Tabuk in Saudi Arabia, Fujairah in the UAE, and African cities such as Mogadishu (Somalia), Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Djibouti (Djibouti), and Misrata (Libya). In Europe, new routes were launched to Zurich (Switzerland), Prague (Czech Republic), and Lisbon (Portugal).
The airline also bolstered its fleet, receiving its eighth and final Boeing 787-9 aircraft as part of an eight-plane deal.
EgyptAir’s performance underscores its ongoing commitment to expanding its services and modernizing its fleet, enhancing its position in the global aviation market.
