CAIRO/BEIJING – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty has praised Egypt’s strong strategic partnership with China.

The minister’s remarks came on Friday at his meeting with CEO of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) Qian Rong in Beijing, stressing that China is one of the most important trade and development partners for Egypt.

Abdelatty also lauded the importance of projects carried out by AVIC in Egypt such as the Light Rail Transit project (LRT) and other transport projects.

He also expressed his appreciation of efforts made by the Chinese company to provide vocational training programs in China for three batches of Egyptian trainees in the areas of driving and maintaining the LRT, in cooperation with the “Nanning” Railway Training Institute.

He expressed the Egyptian side’s aspiration to increase these training courses that aimed at qualifying workers in the railway sector in Egypt, adding the political leadership attaches importance to developing the future-ready vocational education system.
