Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Saturday met with, among others, the Speaker of the Danish Parliament, Søren Gade, at the Danish Parliament’s headquarters in Copenhagen as part of the state visit he is paying to Denmark.
Following his arrival, the president was escorted to the Conversation Room, where he greeted a number of Danish Parliament members and gave a speech.
President Sisi took part in a number of discussions with the speaker of the parliament and MPs about Egyptian-Danish relations on all fronts.
Gade welcomed the visit of president Sisi to Denmark. The trip is considered the first by an Egyptian president to the European country.
President Sisi and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen will have talks later in the day about ways of boosting bilateral relations.
President Sisi had held important talks with King Frederik X of Denmark in which he emphasized he is looking forward to enhancing relations between Egypt and Denmark in all domains.
The president’s trip to Denmark started on Thursday.
