CAIRO – Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperaiton and Board Chairperson of the National Investment Bank (NIB) Rania el Mashat said that the state is working on a plan to develop and restructure NIB to expand its role as one of the economic and investment arms that support the developmental efforts of the state and increase the investment expenditure efficiency.
This came during Mashat’s presidency of NIB meeting.
The meeting tackled several important issues on financial lists of the bank, assessed budget of the current fiscal year and the current situation of the NIB investments.
Mashat asserted the pivotal role of the NIB that supports the economic and social development efforts via governmental investments, adding that the bank achieved great progress in the past period.
The meeting also took up other issues on the investments of the bank in the affiliating companies and managing its assets to increase its resources and settle its debt and financial entanglements with other bodies, she pointed out.
