The Supreme Committee for Security and Environmental Oversight, led by Pilot Montaser Manah, Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation, recently undertook a detailed inspection of Sharm El Sheikh International Airport. Accompanied by representatives from various relevant authorities, the committee was warmly received by Pilot Nabil El Melah, the airport manager.
During the visit, the committee assessed the overall operations of the airport, with a particular focus on the effectiveness of implemented security and health measures. They closely monitored passenger movement, air traffic, and security operations, while also evaluating the level of services provided to travelers in both the departure and arrival halls, as well as throughout the airport’s service areas.
The inspection encompassed several key locations within the airport, including the perimeter, Passenger Terminal 1, and both international and domestic departure and arrival areas. The committee also examined Passenger Terminal 2, lounges, cafeterias, the duty-free area, passport control, customs, catering services, meteorological facilities, the control tower, the information center, the security room with its monitoring camera system, and the baggage claim area.
The committee ensured that operations were running smoothly during both departure and arrival phases, as well as at the airport gates, reinforcing the commitment to maintaining high standards of security and service for all passengers.
